The Department of Mechanics and Aerospace Engineering has gathered a group of high-level professionals from related fields around the world, covering academic and industrial backgrounds. So far, 21 teaching and research teachers have been in place, 80% of whom have national talent titles, including 1 academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, 1 academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, 1 academician of the Royal Canadian Academy of Sciences and Engineering, 1 academician of the Australian Academy of Engineering, Shenzhen Peacock team and 8 international fellows. All faculty members have overseas study and work experience. There are two undergraduate majors, "Theoretical and Applied Mechanics" and "Aerospace Engineering". In May 2018, he was authorized by the Ministry of Education for a master's degree and a doctorate degree in mechanics. Approved as a postdoctoral mobile station in mechanics in 2019. There are "Guangdong Province Key Laboratory of Turbulence Basic Research and Application" and "Shenzhen Key Laboratory of Aerospace Complex Flow".
